The Study of Patients Visited Korean Medical Clinic in Athletes' Village Hospital at The 28th Univesiade Gwanju Korea

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristic of patients visited Korean medical clinic in athletes' village hospital at the 28th Universiade Gwangju Korea and provide basic data for specialization of Korean medicine.
Methods: We investigated 532 cases of patients who had visited Korean medical clinic in athletes' village hospital at the 28th Universiade Gwangju Korea from 26, June 2015 to 17, July 2015.
Results & Conclusions:
1. Mean age of male patients was 33.5±14.3 years old and that of female patients was 30.7±13.9. Male patients was 58.6%
and female patients was 41.4%.
2. The most patients visited Korean medical clinic at 6, July 2015 was 11.1%.
3. The nationality of most visited patients was Korea(33.1%).
4. In distribution of onset, the rate of acute, chronic, and recurrence was 42.9, 50.9, and 6.2%, respectively.
5. In distribution of mode, the rate of exercises, games and others was 39.6, 5.0 and 55.3%, respectively.
6. Low back pain was the most cause of disease(29.5%) and the stomach-intestines disorder was the most cause of illness(53.3%).
7. In distribution of disease, most of patients were sprain(33.2%)
8. Overuse is the most cause of injuries(59.6%)
9. The most patients were treated by acupuncture and physical therapy(44.1%).
